Ms. Claudia Carrillo

Ms. Carrillo has a master’s degree in clinical mental health and is a licensed mental health counselor. She has experience assisting adults struggling with depression, stress, anxiety, and substance use. Prior to her work as a therapist, Ms. Carrillo was a counselor of a different kind, practicing law in Florida for more than 20 years in the areas of family and real estate. Ms. Carrillo is an approved Parenting Coordinator with the 10th Judicial Circuit, allowing her to serve the needs of families experiencing high-conflict divorce and assisting in identification of more effective communication skills aimed at improving dialogue and maintaining the well-being of the children. For couples who have made the decision to divorce, Ms. Carrillo provides counseling through solution-focused, non-legal advice, as well as assistance navigating the divorce proceedings, including managing emotions and conflict, and clarifying goals and decisions throughout the transition process of divorce. She is also certified by the Supreme Court of Florida as a Family Mediator and trained in Collaborative Family Law for Mental Health. Ms. Carrillo is multilingual in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
